Women`s golf has always been popular, but is even more so right now, with great women pro players such as Paula Creamer and Natalie Gulbis leading the way.

Many women became interested in the sport of golf in the 1970s as Women`s Lib Movement was at its peak, in an effort to penetrate the all male golf clubs who refused to budge on their `no ladies` or restricted access for women policies. Nowadays, the same clubs have realised which side their bread is buttered, with women having plenty of disposable income available and ladies now have equal opportunities on the golf course.
