Buying ladies golf equipment

Women`s golf has always been popular, but is even more so right now, with great women pro players such as Paula Creamer and Natalie Gulbis leading the way.

Many women became interested in the sport of golf in the 1970s as Women`s Lib Movement was at its peak, in an effort to penetrate the all male golf clubs who refused to budge on their `no ladies` or restricted access for women policies. Nowadays, the same clubs have realised which side their bread is buttered, with women having plenty of disposable income available and ladies now have equal opportunities on the golf course. Hence there has been a huge growth in the market for specialist golf equipment for women.

The choice of equipment is staggering, with golf clubs, ladies clothing, shoes, golf bags, golf balls and golf gloves to suit all requirements, from premium to entry level standard. Golf clubs are available for every level of lady golfer, and most have that touch of femininity in their design.

Premium range manufacturers include Nike Golf, Yonex, Mizuno, and TaylorMade. They supply, golf irons, wedges, fairway woods, drivers and putters as well as stylishly designed golf bags in white and pink. Golf clubs are lighter weight and smaller to suit the women golfer. There are even boxes of golf balls on the market with that hint of femininity. Ladies golf gloves are also in smaller sizes and with design and comfort very much in mind.

Ladies golfing sweaters, polo shirts, weather wear such as fleeces, bright and colourful socks, and skirts, shorts and pants for women are making the golf course a visually stimulating place with vibrant hues contrasting with the drabness of the modern male golfer`s attire. Greg Norman has a trendy range of ladies golf clothing. Hi Tec and CDT Power make very feminine but practical golf shoes with a flash of pastel shade stripes. Rudy Project and Puma have the sunglasses for stylish image conscious golfing ladies who want to turn heads on the course, in startling blue or smoky grey. Ralph Lauren and Adidas produce excellent and fashionable ladies golf clothing.

Women`s golfing sets differ from those available for men in as much as they have wide sole irons for easier quality ball contact, with an undercut cavity to enable improved ball flight and increased distance. Produced with a low centre of gravity and perimeter weighting they create maximum accuracy, forgiveness and power. Ladies cart bags are designed and constructed using ultra light weight materials. For the novice woman golfer who is just starting out, the essential basics required are a cheap golf package set of clubs, which can be bought new for under £100 or used for considerably less. cheap golf accessories are readily available in classified ads columns of local newspapers or online. If eventually bitten by the bug, then is the time to upgrade to a better quality set of clubs to suit her standard of play. Most golf clubs still have a dress code and it is important to access what clothing is required. A good comfortable pair of golf shoes is perhaps the most important item of clothing, as well as a sun visa or sunglasses.

This dude can still play! He shows up on my doorstep after 20 years since I last saw him and what does he want to do, why, go play golf of course.

After holing out for a sweet 79 the Chuckster himself let me buy him a cold one (he won) and proceeded to catch me up on what he has been up to since becoming human. (watch for the full, exclusive story here only on the LowCarb Golfer)

After not making it in Hollywood with the film horror crowd, (he couldn't compete with the likes of Jason) and being told that his image "really wasn't a good fit" for the PGATour snobs, he decided to go it alone.

And it's good news, especially for golfers , Chucky has signed a multi-year agreement with the newly formed CNBC (Chucky News Broadcasting Corp,) to host his own news and sports program. He is a HUGE fan of golf, once scoring in the low 80's using only a hatchet!

Chucky will review golf equipment, do some interesting commercial endorsements and give us some news we wish we hadn't heard about. But, that's our Chucky!

The customer gets a wide selection of specific products, in my case, golf equipment, golf clubs, golf apparel, golf balls and all kinds of great golf gear. The prices are competitive, the transaction is between Amazon and my customer and I get paid a nice commission on each sale. No rent, no inventory, no employees, no worries!

So to help me bring customers to my golf store I shamelessly promote myself using this blog as a platform. Hopefully what I write about here will be of some value to my readers and in exchange they might even visit my store, they don't even have to buy anything! But this blogger sure would be grateful if they did!

I was on the golf course the other day when one of our foursome mentioned this device. We had been having a couple of cold ones and there wasn't a tree in sight, if you know what I mean. So what did we do, you ask? We waited till we could take care of the problem. But we did wonder, would this golf "club" be considered a 15th club in your bag for tournament play? 

Later, I looked it up on the Internet and there it was, the UroClub, a great addition to the golf clubs in your bag and a golf club you can't do without according to their pitch. Just whip this thing out when you have to wiz, arrange the towel and away you go. Gives the word "shank" new meaning.

The company claims that it looks like a "regular" golf club and appears like you are just addressing your ball while you urinate into the shaft of this so-called golf club. Yeah, right! I have seen fat putter grips but fat golf shafts?

Any "golfer" who says this thing looks like a normal golf club ain't much of a golfer and I wouldn't want to be seen on the golf course with one. My buddies wouldn't be able to swing a golf club, they would be laughing too hard. 

The company's video demonstrates the product and you can see for yourself what a joke it is. I would only buy this thing as a gag gift for a golf buddy but after watching the video, their price of $49.95 is a bit much for a golf gag. Personally, I think this is one "golf club" you don't need and golf courses should ban it.

I did check out their website and they have reduced their price to $24.95, I guess sales of this so called golf club lookalike have been "soft".

I tried to buy one so that I could pull it out on the golf course next time I play as a stupid golf gag but their security certificate has expired which means your credit card payment is not secure. But for a good laugh here is their ridiculous video.

We are fortunate in that OB Sports is headquartered in our backyard at Kierland Commons in Scottsdale (a VERY prestigious address I must say – but despite that, manages to exhibit a VERY down-to-earth management style), something that sets them apart from the others who work in that business. Their portfolio of managed golf operations includes courses all over the country and in Mexico too and even though Kris is a nice guy he still won't let me see the super secret list of new projects on the horizon. Known formerly as the Platinum Golf Academy, the Eagle Mountain Golf Academy is the premier golf school destination in Arizona. Derek is of the opinion that the driver is the most important club in the bag and I happen to agree with him. Drive for show and putt for dough is still true IF you manage to get on the green in regulation. However, if you start the hole with a tee shot that ends up on the wrong side of the stakes – your putter ain't gonna make you much dough.

Does the first shot on every hole set the tone for your entire round? Derek thinks so and so do I. Hit one down the middle and it gives you the confidence to follow up your next shot with the same good swing thoughts. It's when you skank it into the boonies that doubt starts to creep in – and if you can't find it or it's unplayable then you are really behind the eight ball. Unless you think scrambling on every hole is fun you best learn how to hit the driver correctly.

The Driver is the longest and lightest club in your bag but is the most difficult to hit straight. I know guys that will only use a three-metal off the tee or even an iron and that's not good – those long par 4's and 5's need all the distance you can muster. Derek says that a perfect driver set-up will likely result in a correct swing so check this out:
